The Jivamukti yoga poses were developed from Ashtanga and Hatha yoga traditions. It’s was founded by Sharon Gannon and David Life back in 1984. Just like Ashtanga yoga, Jivamukti yoga too is dynamically physical and more intellectually stimulating. Jivamukti yoga lays emphasis on educational aspect of yoga practicing. Jivamukti word originates from Sanskrit, meaning liberation while living. It combines the energetic physical practices along with strong basics in the spiritual yoga traditions.
